What an incredible morning we had at the International Women’s Day Breakfast 2025! With the breathtaking Gnomon Pavilion as our backdrop, we gathered in the spirit of connection, inspiration, and action, embracing this year’s theme: ACCELERATE ACTION. The energy in the room was simply electric, as women from all walks of life came together to celebrate, share stories, and uplift one another.

One of the most heart-warming highlights of the event was our fundraising success. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and supporters, we raised an amazing $800 for Warrawee Women’s Shelter Ulverstone. This vital service provides support and refuge for women in need, and we are beyond grateful for the collective effort in making this possible. Every ticket purchased, every raffle ticket sold, and every donation made will go towards helping women find safety, stability, and support in our community.

Our guest speakers were nothing short of phenomenal. Each woman brought a unique and powerful message that resonated deeply with the audience. Laura Johnson, an advocacy leader founder of T.H.E.I.R.S and recipient of Order of Australia Medal, shared her inspiring journey and the importance of standing up for what matters and those around you. Lisa-Marie Stapleton, a martial arts instructor, delivered a compelling talk on confidence and resilience, reminding us all of the strength we carry within. Angela Revell, an award-winning business coach and IT expert, offered invaluable insights into leadership and personal growth. Finally, Sarah Slatter, a successful entrepreneur in the beauty and wellness industry, spoke about the connection between self-care, empowerment, and success. Their words were moving, motivating, and truly empowering.
We were also privileged to receive a beautiful Welcome to Country by Karen Smart, reminding us of the deep connection to the land we gathered on. The morning was made even more special by a stunning live performance by Alexandra Rose, whose voice added a magical touch to the event.

Of course, no celebration is complete without delicious food, and the champagne breakfast catered by the talented Marion Storm did not disappoint! Guests enjoyed a beautifully prepared meal while engaging in meaningful conversations and forging new connections. To make everyone feel a little bit more joy, we donated the leftover food to No. 34 Aboriginal Health Service in Ulverstone, so we were able to pass on the love to others.
This event would not have been possible without the support of our community and the generous grants from the Tasmanian Government, Department of Premier and Cabinet, and the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline Community Grants Program. Their contributions helped make this gathering a truly unforgettable experience.
A huge thank you to every single person who attended, supported, and contributed to this event. Your presence and enthusiasm made all the difference. Together, we are proving that when women support women, incredible things happen. Let’s continue to ignite change, accelerate action, and uplift one another—not just today, but every day.

This is a rather long post but also such an important one. Ignite Women Tasmania would like to thank everyone who bought tickets for our International Women’s Day breakfast. Without you we would not be able to hold such an unforgettable morning.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
